29 Sep 2020 1:35 PM | Anonymous member

The ribbon was cut on a $52 million police training facility built in honour of Queenslands former top cop.

The Bob Atkinson Operational Capabilities Centre at Wacol in Brisbanes West will be a training base for eight thousand officers a year.

Mr Atkinson said police need to be well equipped for their job.

"We owe it to the male and female officers who go out there everyday to protect our communities to ensure they have the best training the best equipment and to prepare them as best as possible for the dangerous job that they do", he said.
