National Police Remembrance Day - Thursday 29 September 2022 

The QPS have advised there will be a March in the Brisbane CBD on Thursday 29 September 2022 to commemorate National Police Remembrance Day. 

Time: 9.00am

Place: Queens Gardens, Cnr Elizabeth & George Streets, Brisbane

Grouping: Former Police and Families.

Have been advised that buses will be leaving Garrick Street from about 8.00am to transport people to Queens Gardens prior to the march commencing.

National Police Remembrance Day commemorates police officers form all Australian police services who have made the ultimate sacrifice to protect the community.

It is a day for police to pause to honour officers whose lives have been cut short while performing their duty as a police officer.

Due to COVID restrictions - Services are by invitation ONLY. 

Services will be live streamed.  Further details to follow.


National Police Remembrance Day Candlelight Vigil

6.30pm to 7:30pm - Wednesday, 28 September 2022


National Police Remembrance Day Memorial Service

10:00am to 11.00am - Thursday, 29 September 2022


Both events will be held at the Queensland Police Memorial in the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, near the corner of George and Alice Streets, Brisbane






    ABOUT OUR ASSOCIATION

    We are a network of former members of the Queensland Police Service (QPS) or any other recognised Police Service, or a former Queensland Police Service Public Servant, who has retired or resigned from such Service with honour and has continued to be of good character and repute.

    Partners of members and police widows/widowers (who are not otherwise eligible to join as members) are invited to join the Association as Associate Members.
